The Phoenix, once born with light Now tired of her endless fight To rise from ashes, yet again To spread her wings and ascend. The Phoenix longs to rest at last To break free from her endless past To fly, not just to rise and fall To escape her fate, to break the thrall. But still, the flames consume her form And still, she rises, reborn Her tears turn to steam, her pain to fire As once again, she takes to the sky. Her wings spread wide, she soars up high Her heart heavy, but her will won't die For even though she's tired and worn The Phoenix knows she must be reborn. And so, she'll rise once more, it's true From ashes, born anew A symbol of hope, of strength, of light The Phoenix, forever in flight
